Nikon D3 low-light performance

This Nikon D3 sample image is from Photo-cafe.jp. This sample was taken with a beta (pre-production) camera without using a monopod nor tripod and 14-24mm F2.8G lens. The reviewer/photographer says he chose the incandescent WB to strengthen blueness of the sky, there is no color noise though there is slight luminance noise on the shadow area, and the image is very sharp though it was taken at 14mm. Unfortunately this image is gone from the site.
Personally, I’m amazed how the D3 maintains color accuracy at high ISO, and also manage not to blow out the light sources in the scene. Nikon D3 ISO6400, low light, 14-24mm f/2.8m, sharp from corner-to-corner, colors remain richly saturated with hardly a blown highlight, details even in the shadows, super-pleasing grain. The barrel distortion looks incredibly low for 14mm. As for the ISO performance, there’s already enough pro photographer opinions and samples that prove with sufficient accuracy that this is simply going to be an out-of-this-world and unprecedented camera performance-wise.
