Nikon D300 Image Quality

We are going to talk about Nikon D300 image quality (mainly speculation) in this article. This semi-pro DSLR is coming out at the end of this year. There are lots of speculations going on about this camera. One good thing about this camera is that, it has same AF system as pro Nikon D3 camera. Nikon hasn’t shown good sample images for this camera as it has for Nikon D3. We covered lot of samples of Nikon D3, but only some for Nikon D300. E-fotografija article “Nikon D3 and Nikon D300 first impressions” talks about both cameras. According to this article - If you’re a working pro who uses Nikon, get in the line. The D3 is almost blasphemously good. If you’re using a D200 and want to upgrade to the D300, well, you might want to wait for the production camera, see how it does, and then decide. While the D300 is a marked improvement, it might not be worth the money you’ll lose by selling the D200 and buying the D300. On the other hand, if you’re using the D200 to earn money, go for the D300. These are some strong words about Nikon D300 IQ (image quality). We really don’t know how the writer of this article came to this conclusion without analyzing the actual image. Maybe he can share the “how to” guide of “Analyze noise levels just by looking on the camera LCD display”. We should wait for the production version of this camera and then do proper noise analysis. Another crazy speculation from this article - Hypothetical Nikon D30 will be introduced within a year, FX sensor camera with a D300 body.
