Nikon D300 sample from Salon de la Photo, Paris
This is another Nikon d300 sample from Paris photo show. This series contains images with ISO800 to ISO6400, NR off and 17-55mm lens. When viewing these samples, people should realize the target in focus was a dark cloth with fine texture. This is probably the toughest test for any sensor, especially for Nikon’s because shadow noise has been its biggest issue. All the images look nice up to ISO1600, tons of detail retained; ISO3200 is totally usable after NR and resizing. You can use Noise Ninja can clean up everything very well. If the D300 meets or exceeds the D40 at ISO 1600 and is better at ISO 3200, it’s a good performance, especially considering it’s a 12 mp camera. I think everybody expectations are blown up because of the incredible high ISOs from the D3. more
